Holtzapffel D Series

Holtzapffel D-30 Rosette

The Holtzapffel D-30 rosette is a series of convex arcs wrapped around a circle.

Note: The Holtzapffel D series of rosettes are the opposite configuration from the Holtzapffel C series of rosettes. The C series design can be achieved by:

Aspect Value Comments
Pattern Convex arcs of a circle
Pattern Repeated 30 times
Target Diameter
for Rosette Design
2”
  • A smaller diameter on the object results in surfaces which have sharper curves at the apexes of the curves.

  • A larger diameter on the object reverses this.

  • An amplitude adjuster can be used to modify these effects.
Phasing Holes 1/2 lobe
Works For End Cutting Near side cutting
Far side cutting, or using rear rubber column
Side Cutting Near side cutting
Far side cutting, or using rear rubber column
Complementary Rosettes

Consider pairing this rosette with one of these.
