Snowflake Rosette

The Snowflake rosette is as it is named, in the shape of a snowflake.

Aspect Value Comments
Pattern Snowflake
Pattern Repeated 1 time This is a 6-sided snow-flake.
Target Diameter
for Rosette Design
2”

At this diameter on the object being cut, the cuts will produce a nice shape.

  • A smaller diameter on the object results in surfaces which are concave between the apexes.

  • A larger diameter on the object results in surfaces which are convex between the apexes.

  • An amplitude adjuster can be used to modify these effects.

Complementary Rosettes

This is designed to be a stand-alone rosette, though rosettes which are a multiple of 6 would work well, and possibly the P-3.

  • The cuts in the top center show how the shape has "collapsed" in on itself, generating a shape that is almost floral.

  • The cuts around the outside show how the shapes are reversing this, becoming more convex.
